Our latest project was the linocut, I liked the project because it didn't take me that long to complete. I learned new words such as linocut (what our actual project is) and also we learned what the carving tools were called.
Metal Embossing
For our latest project, we did metal embossing. I started out by making a design, and then began to start my metal carving. I learned new vocab such as embossing. Embossing is what we did to carve it, this project was really fun and went by really quick!
Juxtaposition
Juxtaposition was our most recent project, I decided to do a butterfly. I learned new vocab words such as shading. For the part that wasn't colored had to be shaded. I really like this project because I like the definition of the butterfly.
3D Printing
For our newest project, we did 3D Printing. I decided that I wanted to make a chapstick container, because I always lose my chapstick. I learned lots of new vocab words, including Tinkercad. Tinkercad is the website that we used to design our 3D projects. I also learned what filament is. Filament is the actual stuff used to make 3D designs. I think that this was one of the most stress-free projects we've had, so I loved it.
Final Project
I decided to try embroidery as my final project. I learned many different new stitches. I learned a stick called the wagon wheel, which I used as flowers. I also learned how to use the embroider board thing (I am not sure what it's really supposed to be called). I really enjoyed this project, and I think I am going to continue to embroider.
Plaster Sculpture
Our newest project was a plaster sculpture. We started by making our plaster sculpture by mixing plaster and water into a juice box, then we waited a few days and started to sculpt it. I learned new vocab words such as plaster (the thing we carved) and also we leaned about Jackson Pollock, I knew about him before but it was good to have a reminder of him. He was a famous abstract artist.
Portrait
For nout portrait project, I chose to do Pitbull. We went over shading a lot, I don't think I have ever spent more time shading something more. We also spent a lot of time try8ing to get out proportions correct.
Watercolor Painting
This week in art were working on watercolor paintings. We started out using about 12 different types of watercolor methods. We stretched out our paper on a masonite board and then taped in down, using watercolor tape. A new vocab word I learned was watercolor tape, its a tape used to stretch watercolor paper, another vocab word I learned was watercolor crayons. Watercolor crayons are just like hardened watercolor, I think it was way easier to use than normal watercolor

This week in Art II we did our sketchbooks and our practice binding. I did a very simple 4 hole bind. We learned some new vocabs such as awl, a tool used to bind books and also Japanese Stab Binding, the technique we used to bind the books,
